this is some heated shit... Tweety's got Gillespie a little steamed.
Tweety laughed off Rick Santorum speaking as a "balance" to socially liberal Ahh-nold and Rudy.
Tweety dismissed the $87 billion as a protest vote, wanted other examples.. Gillespie went through the talking points going "you want more, huh? huh? etc" .. towards the end Tweety gave him some props though.

>> Give me some hard line celebrities you'll be putting up on the platform.
>> Senator rick santorum from pennsylvania. As he strong republican.
>> Touche. You nailed me on that one. I never thought that I was going to be so wrong about something. Give me a break! Rick santorum is as big -- arnold schwarzenegger is known by every kid in the world. Rudolph giuliani is the most respected churchian. And you say rick san or the snum.
>> You asked me to name -- tell me a conservative with the kind of name I.D. That rudolph giuliani or arnold schwarzenegger have besides mr. Cheney and president bush.
>> The point is that you're criticizing the democrats for putting their more conservative voices up front.
>> No, I'm not.
>> And you're putting your more liberal voices.
>> Take a breath and listen to what I'm saying for a second. I'm not criticizing them for whom they have put on the podium. That's fine who they put on the podium. More importantly, what they say or don't say. The fact is they are not running on senator kerry's record. Listen to what we say in
new york. We're running on president bush's record. Who speaks doesn't matter to me. It's more of what are they saying? What are they trying to could
convey?
>> You know more than I know about a lot of these things. Let me remind you, when you get your little insert encyclopedia britain today or the online 30 or 40 years ago, when you call a guy's record, the record for john kerry will be, he went to vietnam. He won a silver star, a bronze star and three purples. That will be on the record. When you say they're not running on the record, he's the captain of the ship, the skip, he and all that language, that is on the mark.
>> Chris, that's great.
>> On the war in iraq, it will say what did he with his life. Isn't it?
>> You may not consider that vote relevant to --
>> I don't think it is record.
>> You don't think it is his record that he voted against $87 million to fund our troop from combat.
>> Look. You worked on the hill. You know that that was not a close vote. That was something like 70-20.
>> So this is a protest vote. Is that what it was?
>> When the --
>> Was it a protest vote?
>> Yes.
>> It was a protest vote, is that right?
>> When the republican party -- do you remember being in the minority? I knew you when you were in the minority, ed. And back then, you had to offer a lot of protest votes simply to make clear.
>> May i ask you another question? Did he say on face the nation after being asked, even if your amendment fails, will you vote for the $87 million? Did he not say yes, i am, because it would be irresponsible not to fund our troops in combat? And then did he not turn around and do exactly that under pressure from howard dean in the primaries? Is that not part of his record as well as vietnam?
>> Is it fair someone said from your party's side, it is a fair enough shot. She said that --
>> Chris. Let me be comprehensive for you. Can i be comprehensive? How about the fact that he voted for nasty a and now says he is against it.
>> We brought that up an hour ago.
>> How about the fact that he said he was in favor of dividend tax relief and then on owed it?
>> You're making the point. Keep it up.
>> All these votes.
>> The point about nafta when we had a couple labor leaders. Is that worth considering in the senate? Is that part of his record as well? How about his vote against the tax credit? How about his vote against the repeal of the marriage penalty? Is that part of his record worth discussing relative to what he might do if he's in office as president of the united states? Is that relevant?
