HARRISBURG - A Dauphin County judge this morning ordered former state Rep. Thomas Druce to serve the remainder of his two-four-year sentence in a fatal hit and run accident here nearly five years ago.
Judge Joseph H. Kleinfelter dismissed Druce's claim that he should be given credit for time spent sleeping in his Bucks County home as "patently ludicrous." He said that sleeping "in your own bed with your wife" is hardly "the equivalent of jail time<<<<<<more>>>>>
A little background history about this asswipe
About 5 years ago Tom Druce ran over a pedestrian one late night in Harrisburg. There had been rumored that Druce was both drunk and NOT with his wife.
Had Druce stopped and checked what he hit, the pedestrian might have lived. But instead, like the good republican he is, Tom Druce kept on driving
And it gets better
Druce turned his car into a local body shop to get the dent fixed on the front bumper. He told the body shop that he had hit a street sign.
THEN, Druce decided to turn that same car in early on it's lease thus getting rid of what he thought was all the evidence.
HOWEVER, the body shop, which was 2 blocks from where I use to live and where I would get my full serve gas at self-serve costs, saved the bumper. When rumors started swirling around that Druce might have been doing something bad - the cops checked the bumper and found that the dent was not caused by a street sign but by that pedestrian that he hit and left to die.
IRONICALLY the law used to sentence Tom Druce was the same law he co-authored and helped get pass in the PA Congress.
And as typical repukes do, there was an organization that helped raise money for the Tom Druce defense fund. At one point folks thought Tom Druce was the shining star in republican politics and had a future as a governor
