You have heard of reverse out sourcing, and now probably for the first time, state governments in the United States are coming out to woo Indian IT companies to set up shops in their state.
This is seen as a positive sign of putting economy before politics.
Senator Chuck Grassely sent a shocker of a letter to Indian IT companies earlier accusing them of abusing H1B visa quotas.
Now, a governor from the very state, representing Iowa, after a visit to India has apparently sent a letter to other governors in the US, describing his visit as ''the most successful international trade delegation''. This is a sign of changing times.
''Large tax breaks which could be in millions of dollars, incentives to create jobs, like subsidising salaries for new people that they hire over there, incentives on new premises that they take up for expanding over there,'' said Abhi Shah, Vice Chairman, USIBA.
''As the US environ is warming up, you are seeing more and more IT companies increasingly hiring locals and creating jobs,'' he added.
