Sheehan a target
The "Swift-Boating" of Cindy Sheehan has begun. Her pending divorce is now being drug out in public view because the right-wing smear machine thinks it's something we need to know. Has anybody noticed what happens when someone speaks truth to this administration?
Sheehan has joined the ranks of people like John O'Neill, Army Gen. Eric Shinseki, Joe Wilson and Richard Clarke. They all revealed facts that embarrassed our Glorious Leader, and their characters were slimed.
So get ready. We'll hear shouts about Michael Moore, MoveOn.org and a left-wing plot. The words of a grieving mother will be dissected and spun by "fair and balanced" news commentators while the words of a president who misled this country into war will not.
Many of us are too young to remember Sen. Joseph McCarthy's witch hunt for Communists in the early 1950s, but it is clear that someone should stand up and say to Bush: "Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?"
