Mugabe's reputation was harmed, prosecutors say
An unemployed woman has been charged with fraud for allegedly pretending to be Zimbabwe's first lady Grace Mugabe to get a place on a nursing course.
Rosemary Chakacha, 23, appeared in court, accused of telephoning the matron at Harare Central Hospital and saying she was Mrs Mugabe.
She allegedly asked the matron to keep a training place for her and a friend.
The state prosecutor said her actions had created the impression that Mrs Mugabe used her status to gain favours. Following the phone call, Ms Chakacha and her friend allegedly turned up at the hospital and met the matron, known only as Guduza.
