US Judge Blocks Saudi Prince Bandar From Moving Real Estate Sale Proceeds Out Of U.S.
Source: Associated Press

WASHINGTON: A federal judge has temporarily blocked Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the former Saudi ambassador to the United States, from removing real estate sales proceeds from the United States pending resolution of a class-action lawsuit.

The suit filed last September by a tiny Michigan city retirement system accuses current and former directors of BAE Systems PLC, a giant British defense company, of breaches of fiduciary duties in connection with $2 billion or more in alleged illegal bribes paid to Bandar in connection with an $86 billion BAE arms sale to Saudi Arabia in 1985.

Bandar also is named a defendant in the suit, along with the former Riggs Bank of Washington and its successor, PNC Financial Group.

In London, lawmakers disclosed last month that Britain's head of overseas intelligence had warned that Saudi Arabia probably would stop sharing vital information on terrorism if prosecutors pursued an investigation into alleged corruption in the arms deal.

MI6, Britain's overseas intelligence service, believed Saudi Arabia would probably end information-sharing with Britain if investigators continued the inquiry, former Attorney General Peter Goldsmith told the committee. MI6 raised objections to the prosecution before Britain's Serious Fraud Office decided to end the case, he said.

12. Don't forget Princess Haifa's favorite charity
Edited on Sun Feb-10-08 04:54 AM by Baby Snooks
Princess Haifa, the royal of the couple, wrote checks to a "poor Saudi family" in California who then gave the money to several of the "Saudi students" who hijacked the planes on 9/11. The account was at Riggs Bank. Rumor in Washington was the investigators were about to issue a subpeona and suddenly Prince Bandar and Princess Haifa hightailed it back to Saudi Arabia on "urgent family business."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A20942-2004Apr17?language=printer

And that wasn't the only thing she funded or the Saudis funded through Riggs Bank. The head of the bank, Joe Allbritton, is a Democrat. But is also a good friend of George HW Bush. Robert Strauss, also a Democrat, convinced Pamela Harriman that Bill Clinton was the better choice for president in 1992. She had wanted Al Gore. Robert Strauss is also a good friend of George HW Bush.

And what has happened to the investigation of Riggs Bank including the matter of Princess Haifa? It apparently came to an end not long after Princess Haifa and Prince Bandar returned to Saudi Arabia.

And of course you have the BCCI scandal which also involves the Saudi royal family. And of course Bill Clinton decided not to pursue that.

People better wake up before Hillary Clinton steals the nomination and then steals the election.

Vince Foster isn't the only question about the Clintons. Pamela Harriman may have known too much. Among other things, Prescott Bush used the Harriman fortune to finance the Nazi Party and Hitler. Most do not believe she died of natural causes. But her death may have helped the Clintons as well. Particularly now. Dead men, and dead women, tell no tales. She died less than a year after the plane crash that killed Ron Brown and Mickey Leland. On a US Air Force jet. Raised some questions. Still does. Just as Vince Foster raises some questions.

Maybe Pamela Harriman knew some things about the Clintons as well as the Bushes.

Just an interesting fun fact....makes one wonder when one looks at the whole picture of all these little pieces and then realize how they neatly tie together to form one big crooked gang of families.....with the prominent role of the Bush's sticking out like a sore thumb and the connections to the Saudis and all the other shit that has befallen us in the last decades... :eyes:

30. Why would a former FBI Director "represent" Prince Bandar's "interests"?
That's just one of the questions that won't go away to those of US that have paid attention to a lot of things over the years.

David Leigh and Rob Evans of The Guardian have done a remarkable job following all things BAE-they had an article published November 26, 2007 that gave me pause to think, long and deep. Among other things I learned that former FBI Director Louis Freeh works for Prince Bandar (or maybe he is still a cop?).

Here is that article.

"US obtains Swiss records and flies in British witness in BAE investigation" by David Leigh and Rob Evans (Guardian 11-26-2007)
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2007/nov/26/bae.armstrade

Of course all this doesn't prevent proposed sales of arms to Saudi Arabia, sales that benefit Boeing's Board and shareholders. Congress was "notified" last month.
