(434 posts)23. I disagree. Biden stands for the nation & party. Sanders stand foremost for the cult of Bernie.
Sanders could have built a coalition, assuming he had the skills to do so. However he has shown little evidence of having the skills to build a coalition and less evidence of being willing to work to gain the skills. He is a nag, not coalition builder. He acts if has perfect ideas--but he lacks any idea on how to makes "his" ideas reality.
Likewise, he could have joined the party and tried to move in in his direction. He, again, chose not to do so. (Again, he has shown little evidence of having either the skllls to change the party or the desire.)
What Sanders has shown a skill at and a desire to keep his name in the press. This photo illustrates that aspect of his shallow approach to politics.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

Agreed. Republicans are quite good at waving the flag. And politicians love to stand in front of it.

Biden was upright, erect, and forceful. Sander was slumped over the podium, leaning on it.

I'm left of BS but he was never viable. It's time for him to work for unity & not for BS.

I'm supporting Biden, but I think that's a pretty irrelevant thing to point out.

No, it's not ridiculous. The OP is very clear about the distinction being made.
