(42,770 posts)Time, more than any time in our lives, we CAN NOT let trump stay in there past 2020. We will be lucky to survive until then for that matter.
It is a time to look at this with a completely rational head. Who has our basic core values and can win. Its a sacrifice because joe is not as progressive as the favorites here. He is more of a compromiser.
But, if you think about it, you can see his glass half full very easily
working class roots
Takes the train home, doesnt profit from success, family guy
Most qualified (been in White House !)
Likable
Works with other side
Can win in WI, PA, and MI which we have to win
Has best chance to win Texas which we need if trussia rigs Wi, MI, and PA
He can pick a younger vp which will mitigate the hes too old factor
Hes for free community college
Hes got tremendous foreign policy experience
He matches the mainstream dem opinion that we need to moderate to beat trump
Wont be affected by trumps slam of how weve become too socialist
Can draw anti trump repukes who wont vote for a more progressive candidate
He can place great progressives in high government positions in cabinet
He knows government and can quickly reverse trump directives
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
