That thought has crossed my mind as just a, "that is the way it goes", like all the other things that sometimes you just have to get through to make it through another day without coming totally undone over and over again.

I stopped wearing make up around the time I turned 50. I woke up and realized I did not need to "put on my face" as my grandmother would say. I had a face and it was OK all by itself. Makeup was expensive and hurts your skin and pulling on my eye skin to get it right was going to cause problems (it has).

I guess I never worked a job that actually required me to look a certain way.
