They are not some minority interest group out for special treatment, they are the future of America! What happens to the country moving forward effects them more than anyone else, because they'll be the ones who live through it all the longest. It's about time the question became 'What do we have to do to energize and motivate the younger voters?' instead of just looking down on them as an 'untrustworthy voting block'.
The political system is so complex and so archaic that its hard for a younger voter to understand why things are the way they are. When you strip away the bullshit and actually give them a clear and progressive cause to champion, they'll be the most active and energetic part of the party. Then we might actually see some real change happening instead of the endless glacial drift to the right.
Trust them, inspire them and support them, and they will achieve more than any of us jaded older folk think possible.
