it's really very good.
Genevieve sounds like a perfect young love.
This part struck me. She knew that she wasn't going to be the person to "fix" him and knew that although she did care for him and even love him, it wasn't to be. As they drifted apart she wrote in her journal :
Hard to say, as obviously I was not the person that brought infatuation. (That lithe, bubbly, strong black lady is waiting somewhere!)
