Rep. Steve Stockman’s contempt for President Barack Obama knows no bounds. But House leaders have boundaries, and they say Stockman has crossed them.

House leaders today vetoed the Texas Republican’s attempt to visually display his displeasure with President Obama’s job creation efforts.

Stockman was ordered to take down his “Obama Failometer”, a 10-foot-long scoreboard, from its temporary home in a Cannon House Office Building hallway this afternoon.

The House Office Building Commission has a policy that prohibits and displays or items in the hallways, according to a spokesman for the Sergeant At Arms. The House Superintendent is in charge of making sure this policy is enforced.
