24. It has to be. No one victory is for forever. Seeing how far back the Teahadists took us in 2 years..

I hope that no one, ever, ever forgets just how bad it can get. And they have not changed their minds, they are still full of the crazy as long as it's being pumped into their heads.

They've also made headway with privatization and many of the individuals who support Teahadism have a vested interest in destroying the government. It really won't affect them and that is what some people are unwilling to understand.

One example is from a thread we have here a while back of a Teahadist who claimed he was being discriminated against for running a birther website on a military flight. He wasn't, he was making a stink and crying victim of his First Amendment and Second Amendment rights. In looking further, we see a person whose girlfriend was in the service and he wanted to ride a military flight to see her out of the country.

Behind the squalling and arguements that ensued, we see a guy who dissed the government in its entirety, except the part that gave him a fat check. And that money came from private military contracting. We are talking a person wanted to make more than the average soldier, have more rights, and still post hate material on a website calling for revolution and hatred toward Obama, liberals, etc.

Let's think a minute what this philsophy is. He considered himself more of a patriot than Obama who represents the whole, because he is privately employed making money from the taxpayers. It is a tenet of Teahadism that no one should pay taxes, as they say in varying terms is illegal, immoral and pays to maintain an evil institution that we'd be better off without.

Consider mercenaries and private militias, in countries where the rich rule over the poor and kill the poor, union organizers, environmental activists, with no accountability, because they klll any policeman, public servant or journalist who says there is a different way of doing thing other than their system of patronage. We marvel at the perfidity of Republicans who lie before Congress, never punish their own for crimes.

In a third world country, it's obvious they are doing the bidding of the rich who have overtaken civic government in their countries. Sadly, what many believe is that fascism is a thing of the past. It is alive and well and living in our time. It is way of looking at how power and wealth will be distributed.

We have always been running two parallel visions in the USA.
One is extremely well funded, with money to buy friends, and the rest of us are just people who want to get along and see rights extended and move forward for all.

We are dealing with a group who spits in our face no matter how often we extend our hands to them. Some will be able to understand, some of them never will. It's up to us to keep the hope for a better nation alive.

I repeat, Obama cannot do it. The Democrats cannot do it, words will not do it, even deeds will not do it. It's not just a matter of apathy. It's what conservatives are. They do not represent a collection of ideals, such as Democrats love. They only represent interests that profit them personally.

Dealing with such people in local politics, one can see that they really have no ideology or hard and fast principles. It is all about how much they will enrich themselves. They call it 'business, capitalism, enterprise, free market,' whatever. It's not about any of those things.

An example would be what we consider the hypocrisy or blindness of those who recieve government contracts, 'socialized' medicine or a Social Security check or veterans benefits, not that they recieve them, no, not all. Teahadists getting them who want to deny the same or anything close to other people they do not know but would like to demonize, think they are different. That they are better.

What they're really saying is, cut the deficit, but off of 'them, not me, since I am _______. thus entitled.' That is why they hate equality, even hate Jesus and Bible, but they wave it about as if it'll help. They don't want to face 'For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.' Nah, believing that might deprive them of $$$.

It's only about them and their friends getting the buck, no matter what laws or regulations are broken. None of those mean anything to them unless they can twist them to their advantage. This the naivety Democrats suffer from the most, believing in equality and trying to be fair to all. Sometimes that lifts the hard and it really does lift lives.

I's not profitable financially, only spiritually. The right created a faux spirituality from a book they don't really believe in or they would not ignore the spiritual context in order to seek power and profit. They would not be arrogant and insensitive. That's the problem with our dialog. Their fears may come in many different flavors, but it's all about the money in the end.
