Could Mourdock's "God blesses rape" statement be his "Macaca moment"? [View all]

In 2006 Republican George Allen was in a tight Senate race in Virginia when his use of the word racial slur "Macaca" apparently helped cost him the election. Is the Indiana race close enough that this could happen to Mourdock?
