Language cannot describe spirituality.
Atheists have their own spirituality if they wish. Einstein said his god was the god of Spinoza. He wanted to know god (if there is one) by studying the laws of nature. I can groove on that.

Anyone can say "My cat is sacred to me. My life is sacred to me." You don't have to go by someone else's rules.
