1. From what I've heard from others who have done mission work

the population is growing in third world countries and is actually declining here in the US. Most of the people I know either have no interest one way or another about the subject or are actually in favor of all benefits of membership being given to our gay and lesbian members.

Personally, if there were a Reconciling Ministry closer to my home I would consider transferring and attending. Then again, if all liberals and progressives leave the main branch then it'll strengthen itself with only conservative members.

IMO, what we need are more liberals and progressives joining the church instead of fleeing it. Sometimes change has to be made from the inside, on a local level, and slowly, instead of expecting change all at once on an international level.
