“As Christians and a mainly Christian town I think, there were a lot of people hurt that our rights were taken away,”

Of course they fail to realize its not a PURELY Christian town. They were taking away non-christian kid's rights to not have someone else's beliefs forced on them, but they think they were the ones losing rights.

They can still pray, silently and to themselves. But thats not their actual intention. They want to force everyone in the town to think like them. Too bad they don't know what their OWN religion says about this:

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#dcdcdc; padding-bottom:5px; border:1px solid #bfbfbf; border-bottom:none; border-radius:0.4615em 0.4615em 0em 0em; box-shadow:3px 3px 3px #999999;"]Mathew 6:5-8[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#f0f0f0; border:1px solid #bfbfbf; border-top:none; border-radius:0em 0em 0.4615em 0.4615em; box-shadow:3px 3px 3px #999999;"]5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

But people who force their beliefs on others seldom know what their own religious book says >.>
