(146,218 posts)14. I hate heeling! Fortunately I know exactly what to do to make the boat sit down.
We live on a 43 foot sailboat. Big, heavy and makes a beautiful home.
There is a lot less worry about upkeep when you live on the boat, as you are using everything constantly and tend to address problems early. The sailing part is just a plus, as we move around a lot.
I am not a big fan of the daysailer. Too small, too light, too much heeling.
There are lots of boats out here available for charter, so if you ever get the itch again, I recommend the Channel Islands.
