To any people who are truly educated about the ecology of the nation (and the global community) Obama has a rather piss poor record on the ecology.
Fracking continues unabated. And in fact, Obama forced the middle level EPA researchers who had been helping people being injured by fracking operations to take the Natural Gas Energy firms to court to cease and desist in their efforts.
He has appointed Mike Taylor and Velsick to important positions in the government so that Monsanto and other Big Ag's monopoly over our food supply continues unabated.
And globally speaking, the TPP that Obama was pushing so hard that it seemed at times like it was his personal pet project - that one bit of legislation guarantees a loss of jobs here in the USA, while it allows corporations to go overseas and take advantage of lax environmental regs in third world nations. And it will also allow other nations to send in their big conglomerates to set up shop here in the USA, and they will be able to ignore our environmental rules and regs because of specifics inside the TPP.
It is true that recently Obama has targeted the coal companies. But I cynically imagine that occurred because h e was to told to do so by his allies in the Natural Gas (fracking) industry.
