It was a tough re-election, and the polls were very close, and then the guy who the POTUS described as the "Secretary of Explaining Stuff" hit the scene, and the dynamics of the campaign changed. Some of us, who had been pissed at the Clintons & their surrogates, got over it. All was forgiven at this point.
I know BS and his white supporters thought they'd be able to use the '08 primaries as a bludgeon, but I sure as hell hope you guys have something else in the quiver. That dog won't hunt.
