WAKEFIELD A 29-year-old man was found shot to death in the Bronx early Saturday morning, police said.
Police found the victim, identified as Gary Clark, 29, of Williamsbridge, shot once in the torso near the intersection of White Plains Road and East 228th Street, after responding to a 911 call at 5:06 a.m.
On arriving at the site of the shooting, EMS declared Clark dead at the scene. Police have made no arrests at this time and an investigation is ongoing ...

... Neighbors heard five shots near East 228th Street and White Plains Road around 5 a.m., and police found Gary Clarke, 29, with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Clarke, who suffered from lupus and had had both kidneys removed, was engaged in a gun battle with another man when he was killed, sources said. A 9mm believed to belong to Clarke, who had previous arrests for drug possession and driving with a suspended license, was found at the scene.
Clarke, who was too ill to work, had been having trouble in the neighborhood, said his longtime girlfriend.
They shot up his car before, about two months ago, and a week before that two guys jumped him, Tanisha Lawes, 29, said. But he wasnt involved in anything. Hes sick hes a weak guy. Maybe its a neighborhood beef? ...
