Gilbert, SC (WLTX) - The Lexington County Sheriff's Department is investigating the homicide of an elderly man in Gilbert.
Deputies say Robert Lewis Mitchell, Sr., 72, was shot and killed on Saturday at his home on Juniper Springs Road.
The Sheriff's Department responded to a call from the victim's son, who found his father shot multiple times in his chest at approximately 9:00 Saturday morning, according to deputies. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
The circumstances of the shooting as well as the motive are still under investigation ...

Lexington Sheriff seeks murder suspect

LEXINGTON COUNTY,SC (WACH)- ... Detectives arrested Jeremy Seldon Brady, 25, of Half Moon Drive, West Columbia, at about 4 a.m. on Friday at his home, Metts said. Brady was arrested on arrest warrants on charges of murder, armed robbery and first-degree burglary. Brady was being held on Friday at the Lexington County Detention Center.
Detectives are searching for Nicholas Scott Williams, 26, of Pelion, Metts said. Williams is wanted on arrest warrants on charges of murder, armed robbery and first-degree burglary. Williams is 6-foot-2 and weighs 190 pounds. Williams has light brown hair and green eyes.
Arrest warrants say on the morning of July 28 Brady and Williams went to the home of Robert Lewis Mitchell, Sr., 72, at Juniper Springs Road under the pretense of buying prescription painkillers from Mitchell, Metts said. Brady and Williams previously had bought prescription painkillers from Mitchell at Mitchells home.
Arrest warrants further say that Brady and Williams went to Mitchells home with the intent to rob Mitchell of money and prescription painkillers and then shoot Mitchell with a shotgun, Metts said. Metts also said Brady and Williams acted with malice aforethought when they shot and killed Mitchell, shooting Mitchell multiple times in his upper torso. Brady and Williams then stole money, a safe, credit cards and prescription painkillers that belonged to Mitchell ...
