1. They don't mention ways to combat this

Would clearing your cookies/cache help, as it would look as if you were surfing to a site from a brand-new session.

I also use Do Not Track Plus for Firefox, which blocks tracking cookies.

I wish the article had offered solutions for stopping this from happening.
