Samson is about 14 years old, we think. We got him from the pound a little over 10 years ago and were told he was 4 at the time. He spends most of his time napping and eating. I usually have to lift him up and set him on his feet to go outside. Yesterday while I was out a raccoon entered the house. It was searching for the cat's food that we normally keep on the back porch. Samson wasn't having any of it and he jumped up on his feet and chased the raccoon out of the house. My wife said she heard him growl like never before. He really surprised everyone with that. Here he is over the holidays with his antlers on:
