We are using a Melitta standard 3.5" paper disc filter in the bottom of the percolator basket. Seems to work pretty well as evidenced buy the last pour into the cup. Cholesterol lowering is important in our household since my hubby is on 2 different Statins to control his. He recently suggested that Blue Bell Ice Cream should go back on the shopping list since his last Lipid profile came back so low. He occasionally has a good idea but this is not one of them.

Lavazza is my favorite. Their regular espresso grind is fabulous, and they make a nice decaf too.
