8. It's troubling

The UCC denomination supports gay equality and I don't know why the President invites the preachers of hate to any events. I also attend a church that works for gay equality and it's in their statement of purpose. I also have been told that if I attended a DOC church in very conservative areas I wouldn't recognize the sermons and attitudes of those attending. I would walk out of any place of worship that doesn't believe in equality. I may be very naive but I just don't get it.
