Marijuana initiative could make or break Obama in Colorado [View all]

Marijuana initiative could make or break Obama in Colorado - Reuters/Saturday, June 2, 2012

With no statewide office contest this year to engage the Democrats in GOTV efforts, I have been less than sanguine about Pres. Obama's chances to win in Colorado.

However, the marijuana initiative gives Obama a chance -- it really may depend upon how effective the pro-legalization forces are at turning out the youth vote.

Being pro-marijuana legalization does not necessarily mean being pro-Obama ... I know libertarian and 'Green Party' types that will vote for Amendment 64, but will not vote for Obama.
