telling his chosen people to kill women and children during war. That stopped any desire of mine to take the OT literally (that along with the craziness surrounding Young Earth creationists and evolution/geology/cosmology and practically ever other -logy). I am still working through the New Testament and the nature of Jesus.

In 20 years historians are going to look back at this period and realize that a certain group had lost its collective minds.
