(81,550 posts)55. We had some pretty bold raccoons in the neighborhood awhile back.
But none of them got inside to do this. Of course, by then, we had all-indoor cats. But before that - when we left a bowl of cat kibble outside, the raccoons had some, too. We once had an apricot tree. I went out to pick some of the apricots around dusk one day - tree was so loaded they were littering the ground - and spotted one right there at the tree. I wasn't spooked, and neither was he. We sort of acknowledged each other and then went to opposite sides of the tree and got to work! I'd pick and put 'em in my grocery bag. He'd pick and put 'em in his mouth. It was amazing! He finished when I did and then we both went our separate ways. But it went on like that for about 10 minutes!
