1. We're still, as a species, new at this.

We have existed on Earth with these bizarre deformities for a mere fraction of a second, relatively speaking.

I can only hope that the adaptations that gave us rule over the planet can also be used to prevent our extinction.

Otherwise, I give my support to the beetles.
