(120 posts)And I will turn fifty-three.
Yet I still haven't cut my hair since I left the Navy in 1996.
I did offer a compromise to my fellow conservative village board members on that one though: the village of Broadwater's annual town party comes up right after my birthday. I offered to have the barber in Bridgeport come over during the dance at the community centre, and for every fifty dollars raised in support of village Friends of the Library, I would have him cut one inch off it.
My hair goes down to my waist . . . if they want to see me in a Navy haircut (that is as short as I will go), it will cost the village about a thousand dollars to do it.
The local gun shop owner (who supports the library and hates my hair) offered to put up the whole amount himself. - James, in Wyobraska.
