(114,598 posts)57. Years ago, there was a lovely kite shop in Sacramento. The kites were
truly works of art. I often thought about buying some of the prettiest, and simply hanging them on my walls. Never did, though.
However, in memory of that beautiful shop, I went looking online, and found several that look intriguing. The first one I checked on, Kite Hill (in NC), has lovely dragon kites for this Year of the Dragon.

I used to fly kites as a kid - some handmade w/newspaper, flexible plastic sticks, and tail parts of old sheeting

Doesn't everyone still have a "junk" drawer - pens, pencils, glue tubes, rubber bands, pins, paper clips, etc...

I flew a kite with my granddaughter once about 10 to 12 years ago. That was the last time for me.

Agree. I didn't see any kids flying kits. And there are kids here and an open field.

I took kids kite flying and they wete bored. Cant compete with Grand Theft Auto
