The color pattern of round spots is an interesting genetic variation. I don’t know too much about how that variation has traveled thru the world, but there doesn’t seem to be too many established breeds with it. The Appaloosa and POA (a show pony bred from the Appaloosa) and the Knabstrupper are the few I know of.
