…21 years, as a pilot. His son from his first marriage also spent a full career in the AF in law enforcement and security, and his wife was in as a nurse.

My dad and his older brother both served during WWII. My dad was in the Army and my uncle was in the Navy.

Their paternal grandfather was in the Union Army during the Civil War. I have several letters that he wrote to his mother during his enlistment.

I was in the Air Force nurse corp as a pediatric nurse practitioner - 4 years active duty, and 8 years a a reservist.

My husband and I met in Japan. We were next door neighbors in the BOQ - Bachelor Officers’ Quarters.
