When Lady GaGa has 30 years of recording history then you can compare her to Madonna.

I wouldn't think to compare some upstart piano playing songwriter as 'The Next Elton John'. Elton John has been doing this for decades and amazingly well.

And btw, when was the last great album released by Elton John that wasn't connected to a movie?

Although the last super selling great album was 'Ray of Light' (1998), 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' (2005) was an awesome album. BTW, MDNA did get 3.5 stars (out of 5) from Rolling Stone Magazine and general positive reviews even if it wasn't a blockbuster like earlier albums.

To be honest this whole 'Madonna Sucks' from Elton John is nothing more than him being a sore loser. Elton John and Madonna were both up for 'Best Original Song' at the Golden Globes. Madonna had directed a movie called 'W/E' (which was panned by the critics) but her song beat out a song that that Elton John had done for some kiddie flick. (btw Madonna's song was not eligible for Oscars because it was the closing credit song, something the Oscars won't consider for Best Song nomination). Thing is this, John's tirade started after Madonna won that Oscar and honestly, just came across as a sore loser.

Don't get me wrong, Elton John is very talented and I've even seen him twice in concert. But his tirades are a bit annoying.
