Need some company. My husband is in the ER. [View all]

First, we think he’s okay. He called me (I was out foolishly thinking I could buy shoes) and said he’d gotten a vicious headache and double Vision, and when he called his doc the nurse said to call 911. Of course we all feared a mini stroke. But he’s had a CT scan and it’s fine and we’re waiting for the MRI results.

I say “we.” It’s Covid world. They wouldn’t let me anywhere near the ER. I’ve been home all day. He’s been in the hall in the ER because they have no space. I can’t imagine he’s not being exposed though if I know him he’s been bathing in sanitizer and stapled an N95 to his face.

It’s awful, though, not being able to be there. My son was here for a while but now we’re just waiting. Ugh. Covid is a monster.

Thanks for the ears. We need to hold on to one another.
