(22,381 posts)I truly hate all tobacco products when they are being used. However, a dark fired tobacco barn is like nothing else. It is the scent of home in late summer and early fall. The barns leak smoke and it is just divine. The fire is a smoulder of aromatic sawdust: cherry, oak, walnut, apple, pecan and others. I used to love going into the barn on a cold October day when I was a kid.
really good coffee, cinnamon, chocolate especially when baking it. Corn bread hot from the oven. Any kind of yeast bread
narcissus, hyacinth, basil, onion/garlic browning in butter, peach cobbler, Je Rivien perfume(impossible to find these days)
Another vote for fresh mown alfalfa (old farm girl here) New car, the air right after a fresh rain, and when there is fresh snow on the ground.
