My tween son's birthday is Cinco de Mayo and along with his presents (a few ebay finds of hard to find Skylanders and Transformer Beast Wars figures), he wanted to see The Avengers and do dinner at Don Pablos.

The Avengers is definitely one that we'd see on the big screen. We've pretty much seen every superhero movie that's come out since my son's been 5yo. There were a few I was dissapointed with (meaning we could have waited to see them when they came to On Demand). The most recent one falling into that category was The Green Hornet.

As far as 3D goes, we usually stay away from it. I think there has been one exception -- Avatar. We saw it first as a regular movie, then loved it so much that a few weeks later we took the whole family back out to see it in 3D. We can't wait until Disney and Cameron finish the Avatar world they're working on. I think it's due to be finished in 2016.
