10. Ducks are monogamous for a year or so. Roosters & chickens - no. So ducks seem to have a sense....

of attachment more so than chickens, which may be an indication of intelligence. More awareness. Mother ducks and mates will sometimes not leave a sick or injured chick/mate. Again, this is something that animals of higher intelligence do.

Ducks are related to geese. Some geese mate for life.
