When Lucy Ricardo came up with some nutty scream, it was always Ethel who was there, saying "Lucy, you shouldn't do this. But if you insist, I will stand by you and help you get dolled up and sneak onstage during Ricky's big number at the Copacabana." She was that kind of friend. I would consider it the highest honor to be compared to Ethel Mertz.
