Justice Scalia: NO Such Thing As RIGHTS To Privacy And WOMEN'S RIGHT To CONTRACEPTION [View all]

&feature=player_embedded

Wallace noted Scalia feels the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision—that says women have a constitutional right to abortion—is a lie, and asked why he will continue to try to overturn Roe.

Scalia told Wallace “…Nobody ever thought that the American people voted to prohibit limitations on abortions…there’s nothing in the Constitution that says that.”

Wallace: “What about the right to privacy that the court found in 1965?”

Scalia: “There’s no right to privacy in the Constitution — no generalized right to privacy,”

Wallace: “Well, in the Griswold case, the court said there was.”

Scalia: “Indeed it did, and that was wrong.” The Constitution “…simply doesn’t cover that…which means it’s left to — it’s left to democratic choice as most things are, even important things like abortion.”

CBS reported in 2009, in a debate with American Civil Liberties Union president Nadine Strossen, Scalia said unelected judges have no place deciding politically charged questions when the Constitution is silent on those issues. Arguing that liberal judges in the past improperly established new political rights such as abortion. “Someday, you’re going to get a very conservative Supreme Court and regret that approach.”

That “someday” may be rapidly approaching. If Romney is elected, there is a very good chance another Supreme Court Judge will be elected in the 2013-2017 term. Romney WILL pick another conservative.

Both liberal and conservative women have been taking birth control for decades and enjoyed the right to do so. If the GOP keeps a majority in the House and gains a majority in the Senate—whether or not Romney takes over The White House—women on both sides of the aisle will lose. These conservative judges will be more than happy to dictate reproductive rights. They’ll have the majority. The will exert their power and America will deteriorate into a third-world country.

How far off can burqas be? It’s YOUR choice. YOUR VOTE COUNTS
