mainly into land acquisition. I have old farm land all around me that they have bought up rights to so I had no choice but sell my rights for $5000 an acre about $8000 total. There have been a few cases reported in western PA and northern WV where people's well water burns like in the video. The drillers blame the coal mines. There has also been several explosions and land subsidence and they blame that on the mines also. Seems we never had all this trouble with old coal mines before. In this area the Marcellas shale thins out to about 80' they say but under it we have 280' of Utica shale which they say is a gold mine containing around a trillion dollars of natural dry gas, wet gas and oil. I read the other day Chesapeake alone is going to drill 1500 wells here in the next 3 years. If it is a bad as the video says the entire Ohio and Mississippi river system may be poisoned. The owners of the old farms are suddenly instant millionaires and spending money like it's going out of style. Their biggest worry is the %^^&&* EPA coming in and screwing things up.
