I was reading about this a few days ago, and yes, with the exception of modern propulsion and navigation technologies, this guy is planning to build an exact replica. I also read that the plans are also to maintain the air of authenticity by selling tickets from economy steerage to upper class accommodation. This guy is a complete ass with his head buried deep inside himself. Why, I mean WHY does this guy think this plan of his makes any financial or logical sense? Clearly more money than brains. Oh, sure, there may be the select audience who may find it captivating to relive that fatal voyage, minus the tragedy. I do believe that's what James Horner was able to provide to us from the comforts of our living rooms. At least that was enough to satisfy my curiosity! Personally, and I'm sure millions of others are with me on this, I have no desire to cruise on a tiny ship by todays standards, completely lacking the comforts and luxuries and entertaining features of the modern cruising world. The majority of passengers under 60 years of age will be bored and panicking without onboard computers, television and phones, and live entertainment of nothing more than a string quartet. Passengers over 60 will be filing lawsuits over accessibility issues. Unless he's planning on making dramatic architectural and amenity changes to appease the public, I see this ship sinking just as quickly as the original unsinkable vessel. If he does make these drastic changes, then clearly it is not a replica, but rather, a mere dinky yacht of a cruise ship. The novelty will wear off just as fast as his 15 minutes...
