5. Thank you for sharing that memory

I love hearing how simple acts of kindness can spiral out, doing so much more good than could be imagined.

In the mid eighties I was a single mom with a toddler. On the freeway one night- it was late, we'd been to visit my folks- we had a blow-out. Pre-cell phone I just sort of sat there trying to figure if I would be safe trying to change the tire myself. An old truck stopped and a very large black man scolded me to get in the car with the baby and he changed the tire for me. When I thanked him, he said he did it because that's what he hoped someone would do for his daughter. I loved having that memory just because it is a good memory but I also loved being able to share with my children and especially with others who seemed to really need it.

What a great way to start the day! Thanks again.
