It's got a civil war next door in Syria, the mess in Cyprus, the mess we made in Iraq, and two nascent Kurdish states in the middle of that, not to mention the stuff that is not right next door.

On the other hand, I understand that Turkey dragging Germany into a war is not how Germany thinks NATO is supposed to work.
