a bitter octagenarian libertarian who fashions himself an artiste and intellectual of the cinema. This is the guy who wrote and directed "Pale Rider." Need any more of a hint?

This bit of performance art was aimed at both sides-- Obama is an empty chair, while Romney is an empty suit.

I found it fascinating, and students will be playing with it for years.
