both given the people in the "caravan" a human face, and portrayed with sympathy and humanity the reasons they are fleeing their countries to apply for asylum in the United States. They have repeatedly reported that Trump was whipping up hysteria about families who were a thousand miles frrom our border to get votes from his racist base. They both interviewed and quoted military officials saying it was pointless and dangerously political tto use troops for this purpose.
