Source: Politico
Ready For Hillary, the super PAC with close ties to Clinton confidants, has raised $1.2 million since its inception this year with a good chunk of the cash coming from mega-donors to President Barack Obama.
While its hardly a breathtaking amount of money by todays standards, the effort drives home the painful message to other potential Democratic presidential hopefuls that Clinton controls the field three years before any votes are cast.
Being a voter is not a passive sport, said Ellen Tauscher, a former California congresswomen and state department official, who has been advising the PAC. What people are saying here is that they are not going sit around and wait for others to shape the race for them.
Clinton has played her cards close to the vest, even saying she has no plans to run. But she has kept her profile up with paid speeches, and by strategically weighing in on high-profile issues.

Those who are pining for a progressive alternative had better get out from behind their keyboards and start organizing (nb - yes, social media communications is a functional tool for this, but it'll call for more than just blog posting the hope that someone else will do the hard work.)

Warren would give her a good race but she is not likely to run. I do like Warren but Hillary has

My sense is that if she chooses to run, her only competition will be a Kucinich-type...
