The math and tech gene thing. My kid isn't autistic because of mercury or toxins or HCFS. He's autistic because my genes plus my husband's genes equals autism. *shrug*
My husband is a very gifted engineer. I was dx'd intellectually gifted and in all the nerdy science classes growing up. In almost every single autism family I know (and I know A LOT of them) where the bio parents have produced a bio kid with autism, one or both of those parents is very math/science/tech oriented.
