I've also read some information indicating that Bain pulled some dodgy moves to facilitate Toys R Us acquiring eToys for pennies on the dollar. This illegal acquisition of eToys, I found out, happened in 2000 and 2001 and was likely behind RMoney's retroactive retirement from Bain.

So this prostituting of Christmas in the name of profit isn't at all surprising considering who's behind it.
